DNP Photo Imaging Europe. Download DS40 Printer driver V3.4.0.0 for Windows 10.zip. Make sure your printer is on and connected to your PC. Open Start Settings Devices Printers & scanners. Select the name of the printer, and then choose Remove device. To reinstall the printer, select Add a printer or scanner and then select the name of the printer you want to add. If Windows doesn’t automatically find a new driver after.

How to decompress the downloaded printer driver.

  1. (1) Double click the downloaded compressed file, then the 'WinZipSelf-Extractor' dialog comes up.
  2. (2) Specify the destination of the decompressed files on 'Unzip To Folder.'
    e.g.) If the destination is C:Temp, Temp folder on the C drive is made, and the decompressed files will be stored there.
  3. (3) Click 'Unzip' to decompress the downloaded file, then the extractor creates a subfolder under the folder you have designated,

How to upgrade the printer firmware.

1.Copy the firmware into a memory card.

  1. (1) Copy the entire DNP subfolder (as created in the preceding procedure) into the root folder of the memory card.
  2. (2) Confirm that the root folder in the memory card now contains a subfolder 'DNPDSID400firmware'.

2.Turn on the printer and upgrade the firmware.

  1. (1) Press the MENU button.
  2. (2) Presson the control button to display [SYSTEM] on the LCD display.
  3. (3) Press . [SYSTEM SETTINGS] appears.
  4. (4) Press . And press to display [FIRMWARE UPDATE].
  5. (5) Press . [INSERT MEMORY CARD] appears.
  6. (6) Insert the SD card or USB memory device on which the firmware update is saved on.
  7. (7) Verify the firmware update version, and press the EXEC button.
    Update begins, and [NOW UPDATING] appears on the LCD display.
    When update is finished, the unit restarts.
    Note: Do not turn off the unit while update is in progress.

Please Note:

An SD card (expansion SD card) for storing essential data and settings is required in order to use the functions. If you are using wireless LAN SD card to print, you can store data and settings on the wireless LAN SD card and use it as an expansion SD card.

How to install the software

  1. (1) Decompress the downloaded zip file to an appropriate folder.
  2. (2) Double-click the decompressed msi file.
  3. (3) Read the information in the displayed dialog, and click the Next button as instructed.
  4. (4) The dialog will display a message indicating that installation has been completed. Click the “Close” button to close the dialog.

Starting the software

To start the utility, double-click on the “DS ID Photo Utility” shortcut created on your desktop on the timing of install, or open the Start menu and click on “DS ID Photo Utility”- “DS ID Photo Utility”. For information about how to use the utility, please refer to the operation manual.

DNP and its supplier do not and cannot warrant the performance or results User obtained by using the Software. Except to the excluded or limited by law applicable to User in User’s jurisdiction, DNP and its supplier make no warranty and representations, or terms (express or implied whether by statute, common law, or customs) as to any matter including without limitation non infringement of third party rights, merchantability, or fitness for any particular purpose.
LICENSE
3. Subject to that the User comply with this terms and conditions, including the following restrictions, in this Agreement, DNP hereby grants a non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the Software on a User’s device, in accordance with precaution statements, direction and how to use appeared in this in this “dnpphoto.net”.
(1) User shall not transfer or lend the Software in whole or part to any third party, and shall not use, copy, change, modify, translate or create any derivative works based upon the Software, in other way of use expressly directed by DNP in attached documents to the Software or appeared in this in this “dnpphoto.net”. (2) User shall not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to discover the source code or the Software.
(3) User shall not delete or conceal the copyright and other proprietary notices that appear on or in the Software.
(4) User shall not export, send or transfer to any other country than User’s country of residence.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
4. Copyright, trademark right, patent and all other intellectual property rights relating to the Software are reserved to DNP, its supplier and other original rightful person or organization. Except to the right expressly specified in this Agreement, User may not obtain any rights relating to the Software, and the User may not assign, transfer, lend, lease, or sub-license the right granted to User based on this Agreement to any third party.
INDEMNIFICATION
5. User agree to defend and hold DNP and its supplier harmless from any and al liabilities, losses, actions, damages, or claims (including all reasonable expensed, costs and attorney fees) to User or third party, arising out or relating to any use of User or reliance on or failure of User to perform any of the obligations as required in the terms and conditions in this Agreement
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
6. In no event will DNP and its suppliers be liable to User for any damages claims or costs whatsoever including any consequential, indirect, incidental damages, or any lost profits or lost savings, even if DNP may have been notified of the possibility of such loss, damages or claims. The foregoing limitations and exclusions apply to the extent permitted by applicable law in User’s country of residence.
JURISDICTION AND VENUE
7. This Agreement shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws of Japan and the Tokyo District Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to it. This Agreement will not be governed by the conflicts of laws principles of any jurisdiction or the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the international Sale of Goods, the application of which is expressly excluded.
8. If any part of this Agreement is found void and unenforceable, it will not affect the validity of the balance of this Agreement shall remain valid, binding and enforceable according to its terms. This Agreement may be modified by DNP at any time, and User agrees to be served any updated or different version of the Software to User by DNP with on additional or different terms.

How to version up.

Dnp Rx1 Printer Driver

1. Download a firmware.

  1. (1) Click the 'Download' button.
  2. (2) Click the 'Save' button in the 'Download File' dialog.
  3. (3) Save the file into a folder of your choice at the 'Save As' dialog

2. Decompress the downloaded firmware.

  1. The firmware is downloaded to your computer as a self-extracting EXE file. Decompress the file as follows.
  2. (1) Double-click the downloaded EXE file.
  3. (2) At the WinZip Self-Extractor dialog, enter the name of the folder into which to store the decompressed data.
    (The default is C:¥).
  4. (3) Click 'Unzip'.
  5. (4) Click 'Close'.
  6. The extractor creates a DNP subfolder under the folder you have designated,

3. Copy the firmware into a memory card.

  1. (1) Copy the entire DNP subfolder (as created in the preceding procedure) into the root folder of the memory card.
  2. (2) Confirm that the root folder in the memory card now contains a subfolder '¥DNP¥DSSLxx¥firmware'.
4. Turn on the printer and open the 'Administration tab' in the 'Administration screen' and touch the 'System Logs' button.

Note: If expansion Compact Flash is inserted in a printer, please remove it.

5. Touch the 'Upgrade' button (refer the following red circle), and follow the procedure to insert a memory card including firmware to the printer's memory card slot.

  1. Note: It will take five minutes for version up.Please do not turn the printer off during version up.The printer will reboot after version up completion.
